RPGs -- I spend hours going round and round in circles and getting absolutely nowhere.

Any game that is twitch based and requires pressing one button. Basically competitive shooters like CS (eww), and hardcore mmorpgs. -.-

Then keep trying different genres of games. To keep costs down on wasted cash, try demo's or use a friend's computer to "try" the game and get a feel for it

RTS.

I love Brood War so much, but my skill level is permanently stuck in slightly greater than noob mode.

After shelving the game for about a year I fired it up again to skirmish against a comp--and was just disgusted with how my fingers forgot all the speedy movements and hotkeys and build orders I used to be decent at.

Of course, I'm still going to buy SC2, so figure.

I guess Real TIme Strategy, I have a bit of trouble doing several things at once, especialy if off screen. I tried playing Final Fantacy X-2, but the fights are done in real time and I feel too pressured to have to quickly choose, or I miss it and the enemy gets me first. I have tried playing Halo Wars, but I have had trouble with doing so many things and stuff. I much rather use my strategy with the4 use of a gun on the battle field. I have even proved quite sucessful with Co-op and multiplayer strategising.

I am also pretty bad at horror survival games; I can only play Dead Space on rare occasions for about 30 minuets due to my nerves, similar with Doom 3, but I have gotten better on Bioshock. The sad bit is though my nerves get the better of me in those games, I quite like some of the atmosphere, they just seem so mysterious and the sci-fi is interesting. I also hate getting into the horror parts o other games like Gears of War games.

In fact I like parts of a lot of game genres I am rubish at.

RTS.

I used to be good with RTS when playing old Age of Empires 2 game. I haven't been good at a game since then though. I have never played Starcraft, but I plan to jump into Starcraft 2 and learn the ways of RTS. Razz

I happen to be bad at sports games. But I don't play them because I find sports rather boring and pointless and video games of them just as much so.

Not the greatest FPS player either, I have a really bad habit of trying to get head shots when I'm being directly attacked (L4D) or shot (Halo) and I'm not an accurate shot in those situations.

Sports and RTS are my failings, however FPS and flight simulation are my strengths.

Well sinc everyone is mentioning it, I am also pretty bad at sports games, though I have never had any interest in sports games so I don't really play.
