What are some odd things that bother you (not things like "people who snap their gum" or "people who order three Big Macs and a DIET Coke")?
For example, it bothers me when staircases have an odd number of stairs. If I'm walking up a staircase I already know has an odd number, I'll either lead with my right foot or skip the first step with my left. I'll even memorize the number of stairs on staircases I walk on frequently so I know when to do this. Also, if a staircase is odd, but there is another one in my route that is odd, I don't skip a step because I know it will "even out."
I would ask "anyone else here do something similar?" but that's pretty much a given, so what weird things like this bug you? _________________ I'm never gonna dance again, Aspie feet have got no rhythm. |

I have thing about selecting "odd ones out".... like at the start of this semester I literally stood in the bookshop for five minutes staring at the neat, tidy and even piles of neuropsych textbooks, not a one out of place..... so I couldn't take any/couldn't work out which one to take, eventually someone took one, at which point I could take another..... if only that person hadn't come in then, my textbook bill would have been $130 less
same principle more or less applies to everything, although I can just take the plunge and grab items at random if I'm under pressure [like if there's a line behind me at a shop]
as for stuff that "bothers" me..... certain rough platic textures give me a disgusting staticky feel all over my skin, as does the feel of dry skin *shudder*, wool used to bother me immensely as well, also the word "curfew"... sounds misshapen in my head, as does "corn", "onion" and a whole lot of made up words from a number of my otherwise-enjoyed fantasy/sci-fi novels/ _________________ "C'mon John, kill her and we can have pizza, and margarita shooters!"

| I don't know if this counts as weird, but people who share bottled drinks (cider, cola etc.) and don't use glasses and swig instead. |

Well I guess this counts. I seem to have a smaller threshold of light to others, for example in a class room while everyone enjoys the light level, I find it too bright, and even feel tempted to wear my sunglasses or my hood. In fact the second the lights might be dimmed for say an overhead I sudenly feel a lot more alert and comfertable. basicly it quite bothers me that while everyone is at a good light level, the light tends to make me feel slugish and hurt my eyes. _________________ Do the impossible, see the invisible. People talking about sex and sexuality bothers me. I'm a very unworldly person, and the stuff that I said about sex, two weeks ago was said, when I was still sick in the head. _________________ Mick Avory is my favourite Kink. Totally. desktop items MUST be aligned.

Well, I always climb stairs skipping the first stair, then the third, and successively. It bothers me when the stairs end with me standing on the second to last stair, cause then I can't skip the last one. it's annoying.
Also, pee noises in public bathrooms bother me. And people who sneeze around me. I immediately freak out. |

I went through a phase where wrinkles in the sheets would wake me up at night with a kind of creepy, prickly sensation. I finally got fed up with it and decided to train myself out of it.
Then I found out my sister has the same thing. |

The weirdest thing that bothers me are people who hang the state flag of North Carolina upside down. Displaying the state flag is popular here, and absentmindedly hanging it the wrong way seems to be just as popular. It's even worse when it's on government property; I just want to pull over and fix it.
This is the flag, and as you can see, it shouldn't be that hard to hang the right way, since it has writing on it:
I think that you can tell that flags may have been one of my obsessions growing up. _________________ My fellow Americans. Why would that piss you off? I personally don't like regular Coke; it gives me a bad taste in my mouth. I do like Diet Coke to accompany greasy food, like burgers and fries, though. It seems to kind of cut through the grease.
It seems strange that something like that would actually piss someone off, though. I'm glad I don't get pissed off that easily; I'd be a total wreck.
