Hi there,
Im just wondering if anyone else has sensory issues concerning oily, slippery stuff and touching it??
Im talking mainly about creams, ointments, oil, butter....
When I was at my dietition last week we spoke about some scars on my arm and how Im so self concious about them, she suggested rose oil....and apparently my face must have changed alot, she said"whats that look for" well slippery stuff really freaks me out......yuk yuk yuk......
I also HATED the fact that she was able to read my face straight away and say what's that look for!!!! wish I could do that......she is the one who has suggested an aspergers assesment, (I go in 9 days time) and she said she thaught it was aspergers related....sensory stuff.
Same thing happened a day later when I was advised to put ointment on my sons excema......this doc also knows about possible aspergers with me.......she just said......don't worry,I can see you don't like that idea.....use gloves...
Ugg, I wish there was an instruction book for reading peoples unspoken thaughts.......these 2 people seem to read it so quickly it shits me!!!
Thanks for reading my winge.... |

Oil feels horrible. It makes me want to scream and I have to wash it off immediately.
When I am cooking if I get any oil on my fingers I have to wash them to get rid of the feel.
Sometimes I will wash my hands or arm many many times when cooking. Even if what I am cooking doesn't take that long to cook, I want oil off of my skin right now and have to wash it off immediately.
Almost all lotions and ointments seem to feel horrible too. |

| I hate lotion. Whenever any gets on me any way, I always carry a towel or something with me to wipe it off. Not that it happens often, but...I always take precautions. |

Hi matt, Im the same with cooking too, and I eat fish and chips with a knife and fork...people think its strange...oh well.
Hi persian85033, yeah, like suncream lotion.......do you go out in the sun at all? when I go out I wear long sleeves/pants so I don't have to put sun cream on........have tried a few but they all feel really greasy....do you or have you used one that is ok, or are you just like no lotion at all?? just curious...
Thanks. |

I do wash my hands after putting it on, because it still makes the inside of my hands slightly slippery(although not even close to as much as other sunscreens) and I don't like that, but it works well for my face, neck and arms.
I don't think I would ever find lotion that I would be okay having lotion on the inside of my hands. |
