When I go to the dentist, and they use dental floss, it usually catches, and instead of continuing to pull it up and out, they pull the floss strait through. Just thinking of it is giving me goose bumps and makeing my ears hurt. To me, the sensation makes me want to cover my ears, and it is comaparison to someone taking finger nails and scraatching the chalk board, or metal agains metal sound. Its not like I hear anything when this is done, but I guess the wires are crossed somewhere where my hearing sensory part of the brain is activated or something. Anyone else have this weird sensory issue?

The thought of that situation gave me goose bumps before I even read it gave you goose bumps. Rope burn on the inside of the gums? NO THANKS! You are not alone!

I do not have that reaction to flossing... in fact, I rather enjoy it... I do, however, have that sort of reaction if my fingernails accidentally move along a paper plate... not the thick, glossy ones, just the regular thin ones. Notebook paper and some other paper products as well. The feel of it freaks me right out for a moment and I get that nails on chalkboard response... I jerk back, get the shivers and go to cover my ears. I feel you on that... just thinking about it gives me the same reaction as well.
