| Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising was released about two weeks ago. It wasn't made by the original developer, but rather Codemasters, who chose that it would be better to make this a console game, and kind of drag this corpse of a game to the PC platform as well. We all know that console to PC ports suck without exception, and that is exactly what happened here. Lackluster gameplay, bad AI, and generally a game whose only achievement -- The only thing it has going -- is the name. Here's something to chew on - The game doesn't even support dedicated server. You want a sign of a sloppy port, that's one. I could go on, but all in all: It's a thoroughly unexceptional game. |

Just get ArmA 2, that's the real sequel to OFP.... _________________ I got a C++ in programming... |

| ArmA2 packs some serious heat. I felt the first Armed Assault didn't quite get it right, but I really think they nailed it with the second attempt. I believe they patched it up pretty good now, too. But I've not had a chance to play it lately. |

Yes.
But we knew this was coming, right? BI and Codemasters partnership fell apart and Codemasters walked away with rights to the OFP franchise and the Flashpoint name itself.
ArmA/ArmA2 are the true sequels to Flashpoint.
ArmA2 is fricken awesome! |
