i have already been dead forever before i was born and i will be dead forever after i die.
somehow it seems like a circular motion.
the motions must be joined at the ends or else each would never happen.
the only possibility for existence is in recirculation (i believe).
elsewise there would be terminal poles.

If anything happens. And that is the question.

I don't think. I have my beliefs, but I can't say that I "think" one answer is correct unless I have data from which to reason, and so far I have not been presented with any usable data.

(The difference is that beliefs don't need any real backing - it's hard to disprove a faith, as their tenets are generally non-falsifiable.)

It all depends: guys who like to play with crackers think they'll get 72 virgins, kabbalists expect to go to En Sof, Buddhists to nibbana, etc.

Properly phrased: "In your opinion, what happens after death?"

Although, of the options, "You rot" has been demonstrated beyond the point of being an opinion.

I suspect that you cease to exist in any form other than a pile of bones and in peoples memory. I used to believe in the supernatural explanation of ghosts now I suspect that something like string or quantum theory will show us that although a little odd the paranormal in in fact quite predictable

None of the options given.

Since I don't really exist as such now, there is nothing to go into an afterlife, heaven or to be reborn anyway. What is commonly considered to be a "person" or "individual" is an artefact. If you probe your "true nature" it dissolves, nothing but smoke and mirrors. My personality is an artefact... a vast number of responses to stimuli, collectively called "mind". Even thoughts are not me, they are objects in consciousness passing through.

Death could be described as the point when your body stop functioning.

There was a time in your past when you didn't have a functioning body; before your conception.

Point... However I don't seem to have any recollection of that time. Smile

once dead we continue to exist forever, that is, spread around as water, gases and other pieces of material that uses the atoms and molecules that made us up at the point of death.

the atoms and molecules that compose me right now will be traded out with other molecules and atoms all the time.
i guess i am never REALLY me, am i? :I
