Not sure. I've had incidents where people suspected autism when I was a kid. Others who informally diagnosed me may have reached that conclusion when I was 27, and I was told about it when I was 31

Diagnosed by family at 45 (and I concurred). Made official at 49, a year ago this past summer.

| I was diagnosed with Asperger's at age twelve. I first started showing signs of autism when I was three, I think, because I wasn't talking at all. So my parents enrolled me in a preschool for children with special needs, where I stayed until I was five, then I started kindergarten at a regular public school at age six. |

| I was diagnosed at age 4. Apparently, my Dad noticed I didn't stick my tongue out back at him when I was /born/. And a close childhood friend has a related disorder, so. |

I was diagnosed by several doctors at 4, non-verbal until 4 1/2.
That would put me, by their diagnosis, as being Autistic. |

Self/prof Dx stats topic
I always knew I was different, but I was not Dx until age 46. I had nver heard of Asperger's Difference before this.
