I watched it a couple of months ago. Was actually better than I expected...I kinda like it more than Atlantis: the Lost Empire. This will definitly end up being one of those nostalgic but underrated animated classics someday.

Makes me want to pull in off the shelf and watch it again for the ..... time (I lost count). I watch it at least twice a year... and have owned it for a bit.

I liked the concept and all that but my issue with the movie is they never tell you why the bad guys blow up earth and why they hate humans so much. I need to know modivation.

My guess is like any other reason a species or race would do it.

Humans have potential to be the top of the pyramid and the aliens won't tolerate that risk. Decimate the species and make them refugees and you can tolerate them in your midst.

Was a very good movie. I rented it a few years after it had come out because i couldnt find anything else, thought it was just some cheesy kids movie, pleasently surprised. Definitely an under-rated movie. Joss Whedon co-wrote it, I remember looking it up and going 'ahhh, that's why it was actually really good.'

I highly suspect the main character has some AS traits.
