This is one of the occasions when I feel VERY different from most other people:

I was in a classroom and someone mentioned this story about a couple in a barn and said something like
"Brown Chicken ~ Brown Cow" and everybody in the classroom laughed but me... Then, the teacher asked if there
was anyone that didn't get the joke and I didn't want to raise my hand... Then, the teacher said there was actually a
huge record company executive that was so stupid that he didn't get that joke and EVERYONE in the class laughed even harder...

Have any of you heard this joke about "Brown chicken ~ Brown Cow" and could you PLEASE explain this to me??
I'm not getting this joke at all and have been trying to look it up on the internet... I don't seem to get!!

Can SOMEONE PLEASE tell me what this joke means or why it's funny? If you don't get it, maybe one of your NT friends can explain it
to you, so you can explain this to me?? PLEASE!!? I googled ""brown chicken brown cow joke" and got like 22,000 hits and there are t-shirts and bumper stickers
all around with this joke imprinted on them... These aren't funny to me and I don't understand.. This is when I feel like an alien or something..

Here are some videos and even an explanation of this joke, and I STILL don't get it!! !:

"Dumb question, what's the first part of the brown chicken brown cow joke?

Elite '09 332176
10/9/2009 Warren "Yabba Dabba Dubs" W. says:

What do you get when you cross a brown chicken and a brown cow?

Brown Chicken Brown Cow!"

"What are the two most sexiest animals in a barn? A brown chicken and a brown cow... why? say it fast. BROWN CHICKEN BROWN COW!"

"1. My new FAVORITE joke:

What do you get when you enter a barn and see a brown chicken kissing a brown cow?

Brown chicken brown cow! ( To get this joke...you have to say it all together....so it sounds like "bow chicka wow wow"! Which.....of course......is one of my FAVORITE expressions!)"

WHAT does "Bow Chicka wow wow" mean? Do people think it's funny to visualize a chicken and cow kissing or having sex or what??????? I'm just NOT getting this joke that EVERYONE else seems to get!! ! ???????? and think that I'm very stupid for NOT getting it... I wasn't going to have the whole class make fun of me, so I didn't admit that I was the ONLY one not to get it!! !! like the stupid record company executive... maybe he's on the spectrum too??

PLEASE can someone explain the humor in this or maybe I will never be "human" and understand this......

THANK YOU!! !

I have no idea.
When I see something like that, I figure it's something in the media I've missed.
A line from a sitcom I haven't seen or something.
I just shrug it off and move on.

"Bow chicka bow wow" is basically making fun of the sort of music you might find in a porno. "Brown chicken, brown cow" is a further play on that.

You're not missing much not having got it. It is a fairly stupid joke, and overused.

I only got the joke after they actually spelled out "Bow chika bow wow". Otherwise I wouldn't have gotten it.

Regardless of how many times, or how fast I say "Brown chicken, Brown cow", it does not sound like that. It's all dependent on how you co-articulate that phrase.

I wouldn't feel stupid for not getting the joke. It was a cheesy joke.

I would rather hear a joke like
"Where do sailors use the restroom"?

The Poop Deck.

I don't get the Brown Chicken, brown cow joke either.

That's like someone saying something and then another person says, "That's what she said." I mean seriously, how can people like low-brow entertainment. I can get a joke if it's witty like The Blindside, but something from a poof movie... ugh!

That's like watching the hangover and hearing someone say long after the movie "Paging Dr. fa***t." Or was it "Raging Dr. fa***t."? Then again I could be wrong on both.

Again, ugh....

Okay, I got it once you gave the joke.

I don't know the terminology, but basically, the punchline of the joke, when said the right way, sound like something else.

Brown Chicken, Brown Cow = Bow Chicka Bow Wow.

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.p ... 0wow%20wow

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.p ... ka+bow+wow

Basically, a slang reference to sexual intercourse. It's "funnier" when you say the punchline just as you would the sexual innuendo.

Examples (often used by a character in Red vs. Blue).

Actually I did have some jokes. Don't know if they're funny since I'm not really a person to laugh, but oh well here goes...

One day I gave my friends meatball sandwhichs with the meatballs dipped in spaghetti sauce. They ate them, and later they said to me, "Tell me, what's your secret ingredient. These taste really good." My eyes widened as I heard this. "Well, if you want to know," I said, "I just dumped some of my constipated s**t in liquidfied allspice then dumped spaghetti on them."

Doubting Boy

A boy once asked his father, "How did we get so many languages?"

The father said, "Well, son, long ago our ancestors spoke one language and tried to build to build a long tower that would reach to the sky called Babel so we could be like God, but God, knowing our intentions, made us speak into different languages so he could have us to split off to different parts of the earth."

"But wouldn't that make us more like God?" the boy asked.

The father paused for a moment then said, "Well, I guess you could say that."

"And would having different languages allow us to have different ideas, especially different ideas about God?"

"Well, I suppose so."

"And by God making us speak different languages," the boy said, "wouldn't that decreases our chances of having a relationship with him and Jesus Christ?

"If you think about it from that viewpoint, then yes."

The boy reddened in the face and flailed his arms. "No reason why so many people are atheists! God doesn't know jack s**t what he's doing!"

Same here. And I only recognised it from a tv advert. Didn't know what it meant. So overall NOT FUNNY.

I second this. I didn't get it at all until they spelt it out.

The only way this joke actually comes across is if you give the punchline the proper musical inflection. I recognized the joke as soon as it was spelled out as Bow Chick a Bow Wow, but it still doesn't seem to me that it would make sense to any audience unless when you said it, you half-sang it, so that it actually is music...Otherwise, it falls completely flat.

Surely there must be more to it than that. That's hardly a joke at all. If you 'cross' these two animals, then the sexual act of breeding is virtually implied, so furthuring that reference by equating it with a generic porn flick just isn't funny. Now if you gave the imaginary porno a name that included some barnyard or color reference, then you might have an actual joke, but I can't imagine that as it is getting a laugh from an entire roomful of people. It sounds more like some sort of social experiment to see who will or won't actually admit they didn't get it, when in fact there was never anything to 'get'.

Was this joke originally an outtake from a Bill and Ted movie? 'Cause that's the intellectual level at which it falls. Unless there's a deeper meaning that we're all still missing...

If you cross a piece of typing paper with a red brick, what do you get? Typing paper Red brick!

See? it's just not a funny premise. But you're a dork if you didn't laugh. Huh-huh.

add me to the "wow what a lame joke" camp. in fact, I fail to see how it's actually a joke, unless you're like 3 years old and familiar with the cultural origins of whatever it is that's supposed to be funny, because it totally sounds like the pee-pee humor that my kids brought home from preschool.
