The Alaskan armadillo, otherwise known as Dasypus vae, has always made its home in some of the coldest climates known to man and is currently on the endangered species list.

The rise in autism cases have increased at the same rate as the increase in Alaskan armadillo populations. It is believed by some that at least 1% of all autism cases in the United States alone may be caused by indirect contact with an Alaskan armadillo.

Should you find yourself infected with autism due to Alaskan armadillo saliva microbe exposure, there is a simple treatment and cure that can be used to reverse the condition ... the venom of the Alaskan rattlesnake, a reptile bred in captivity for the sole purpose of curing this type of autism.

This video presents the history of the Alaskan Armadillo and its impact on Autism in a unique and educational manner.

Are they like the House Hippos and Snow Snakes we have in Canada
I could only find footage of the House Hippo, Snow Snakes are very reclusive
and won't come out of their snow tunnels

Who would have known it was the cool looking armadillos the whole time? House hippos --
Gotta love bio jokes... Rhinogradentia, for example. These "snouters" are a group of made up animals that walk on their nose. There are a whole variety of them, as the joke keeps building.

I got infected when one of those darn things ate the back of my car! I only went back to rescue my rock collection.

This is all true.

Be careful, armadillos also carry leprosy. Darned cute little guys, though.

Only if you eat them. I've recently moved to Texas and have yet to see one. Nah, I got my autism from the French meerkats or the Mexican fossas. You can get autism from just looking at them. Musk from the Russian eighty-toed sloth is the only known cure.
