It's just that some members have very strong opinions against CAN. There are alot of members that don't want a cure and fear that it would regularly be used without informed consent. Discussions about cures here have gotten heated in the past.

I've talked to C.A.N via e-mail many times, there intent seems to be well. The greatest opposition against it online has no qualifications.

The source of the social divide exists with pre-natal testing for abortion. Abortion is one of those topics that are divisional anyways.

Still I had no clear answerer from C.A.N concerning it. Quality of life however involves research and treatment for symptoms. I do not think, despite the propagandas online C.A.N is trying to change someone’s personality...

Still for myself, I'd choose betterment, yet the right to exist if there is any truth to prenatal testing and what might become of it is a major issue.

So really there are aspects to C.A.N which some will agree with and some not, perhaps WrongPlanet.net can do an interview with C.A.N to answer some important questions of the members here?

Some organization, though I would ask that others check for themselves, do not believe there is a cure for autism. I think I saw that on Autism Society of Americas web page. Likely it is or perhaps a non-profit competition for public relations in a divided autism community concerning such issues. No idea really....

Believe me a lot of people who oppose abortion would support pre-natal testing for autism and if the fetuses are tested postive, the fetuses would be aborted. Mark my words, it is already happening to fetuses tested postive for downs syndrome and the number of childern with Downs Syndrome has decreased by 90%. I expect much the same for the occurance of childern diagonsed with ASD's.

I talked to an anti-abortion group in the U.K, that would be opposit to what they had said to me.

Anyone desire to start a research group concerning this in a secure setting?
