The prize is ego-gratification and shares in my Greek bonds (I kid, I kid).

The contestants are (with the percentages and total votes when on the primary poll when I last measured it)):

This poll is limited and about an hour and forty five minutes late (I said I'd do it at 8:00 PM Canadian Central Time, it is about 9:45 PM Canadian Central Time. My dearest apologies!).

The reward is a position on the Wrong Planet Not Necessarily Marxian or Anti-Marxian Society of the Godless.

Three spots are available:

Plus Alpha-Atheistic anti-theist
Minus Alpha-Athestic anti-theist
Plus Beta-Atheistic anti-theist

We will decide winers by this

Votes Needed to win = (Valid Votes Cast/3 +1) + 1

Once a candidate reaches a certain threshold, the rest of his ballots will be distributed to the voters "second choice".

This will be a single transferable vote. The winner with the most number of first choice votes gets the title "Plus Alpha-Atheistic anti-theist". The one with the second most number of first choice votes gets "Minus Alpha-Atheistic anti-theist" and the one with the third most first-choice votes gets the position of "Plus Beta-Atheistic anti-theist".

Let the smear campaign begin!

I really hope theres' some sort of vicious, massive, campaign that drives up voter participation. I really need high voter turnout for this to work.

People think the next best choice is someone who thinks that gods are bad ideas, but ALIENS are good ones? As if tentacled ones from beyond want to have anything to do with humanity! What have men done with all creatures they encountered? It surely wasn't "help them kindly", and any creature that evolved, even if elsewhere would have better business sense!

Remember, its not about winning or losing...

... it's about crushing your enemies and preparing for a primary challenge in 2012.

Just remember, if you, my constituents want anything from your Godless man to STRIDENTLY oppose theism, please let your requests be known, and I will try to address them.

Ah, but even you should know that "help" often refers to promoting the goals of another.

To be precise, its a Single Transferable Vote system (a form of proportional representation) coupled with my own interesting way of ranking the individuals elected to the Wrong Planet Not Necessarily Marxian or Anti-Marxian Society of the Godless.

To explain the name, it means that people elected to this society don't have to be Marxists AND they don't have to be Anti-Marxists. That is to say they could be Anti-Marxists, Marxists, or utterly indifferent to Marxism.

I'd just like everybody to remember that ruveyn believes that the bronze age writings are sources of ETs teachings, and that human cultures were intelligently designed rather than naturally evolving.
