I hate being alone. For this reason I check out pages about dating and meeting people and the post suggest a low percentage of people in the site have partners.

There is only 1 advertised dating site here which I joined initially a couple of years ago nobody else seems to have. If there re so many of us who are sick of being alone then why is nobody trying? I just did a simple check based on the lised number of members of each website and found only 6.4% of WP members are Aspie Affection members. That would make 93.6% either in a relationship or just havn't bothered.
, stats I find difficult to accept. Come on guys, there's a huge eligible bodies list - lets move this and register. I need love and I know many more of you out there do too - lets do all we can to achieve it!

Particularly you Brit ladies Wink

The problem with Aspie Affection is that the ratio between men and women would be 10 men to 1 woman.

I think many of the aspie women don't need to use the site or their minds are engaged by manipulative guys.

The male / female ratio is brutal.

Also, many many more AS females pair up successfully with nice NTs than the other way around.

I wonder if any aspies have had any success dating women with other disabilities? Perhaps finding a disabled NT woman who could be more understanding of an AS man's problems?

For example Lupus is 10 times more common in women than men.

Match.com will let you search profiles for specific words, you may want to try this:

Do a search (individually) for: disabled, disability, lupus, bi-polar, cerebral palsy.

Also I've seen quite a few profiles of women who I strongly suspect are undiagnosed aspies by searching the keywords (introvert, introverted, daydream, homebody, anxiety, loner, socially awkward).

I browse it from time to time.

I'm a single AS female, but I'm not really looking for a relationship so I haven't joined the site. I thought there would be a lot of members from here on AA, but it doesn't seem like it.

This might possibly be true. I've gotten more affection and love from my current girlfriend, who isn't necessarily disabled but does suffer from OCD, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and Bipolar II Disorder.

I think there are a large proportion of people who are disinterested in online/long distance relationships, myself being one of them.

Well thats not really the point of internet dating anyway.

Its primary use is to facilitate a regular relationship for those who may live in close proximity, but lack the social skills or opportunity to meet a compatible partner.

I've been searching for disabled NT women for quite a while but for some rezone they don't seem to be interested in disabled guys. The ratio of men to women on dating sites for things like disabilities are even worse than the ratio on Aspie Affection. Aspie Affection is borken. Every time I try to run a search on Aspie Affection; I get some kind of page with weird code.

BTW only1% of Aspies get married. It's probably related to all the social issues that we face

The site is utterly useless with so many more male members. Though, it's the only dating site I've seen which lets 16 year olds join, the rest require you to be 18, which is annoying because I'm 16 very soon and I was thinking of joining up to one of these things.

Aspie Affection could work great for women seeking men thou cuz of that ratio but the search feature would have to be fixed 1st. I use a few other dating sites with that same format software & lots of em let 16year-olds join as well.

I just remembered another site I use called AutismDating.net. The site is really confusing thou & I only have like 11 matches on it all over the world.
I also forgot about a new site created by a member here called AutisticDating.net. It's the same formate type software as Aspie Affection. I sent out a few messages there but haven't gotten replies but it's like that on every dating site I use. No members in my state either thou but I'm hoping it grows more

I think that we have to accept that a lot of Aspie men just want casual sex, not a real relationship, while most Aspie women want marriage, kids and to be as normal as possible.

I think a lot of men in general are like that, but then there are also a lot who aren't. People also go through phases of wanting different things.

Though I wouldn't generalise that Aspie woman all want to be as normal as possible at all.

Good point. I guess I can't speak for others, but I prefer to do things face to face if at all possible. Online would be my absolute last resort. It's so hard to tell if you're romantically attracted to someone if you've never met them in person (although it's easy to tell if you generally like someone though).

That's really depressing. Where did you get that statistic from?
