Who here is psyched for the Nintendo 3DS? I heard it's top screen will use autostereoscopy to create a 3D effect without glasses! I'm pretty sure its bottom screen will have multi-touch. Here's the Wikipedia page. The first games I'm going to get are Mario Kart 3DS, Kid Icarus: Uprising, and Star Fox 64 3D. If I'm right, the Nintendo 3DS will have a custom Pica200 GPU (15.3 million polygons per second at 200MHz) , a 800 x 240 resolution WQVGA top screen, and a 320 x 240 QVGA multi-touch bottom screen. Its graphic processing power is around that of the Game Cube, although some people swear that it far outstrips even the Wii. TAKE THAT, SONY!

I can't wait for the 3DS to come out. What are your thoughts on the upcoming Nintendo 3DS?

I'm pretty excited. It looks cool I just know my double visions will be an issue from time to time.

OMG! I SO WANT ONE NOW! (I broke my Lite LOL!) So many DS games I want but I'm waiting to buy the 3DS first (I'm playing my little sisters DS's in the mean time.)

I really want want. There's going to be so many good games on it. Star Fox 64, Ocarina of Time, Mario Kart, Paper Mario, Super Street Fighter IV, etc.

Ive known about it since E3. I soooooo want the MGS3 snake eater Remake, and the new resident evil for it. Looks damn epic.

Two things are stopping me from getting it right this second:

Little bro who's just five today and would steal/break/screw up his eyes with it, and

BROKE. Gah. WANT.

I want it...but right now I still have two working DS systems...the first one and the DSi. So I'll probably be getting it eventually...just got to wait until the DSi dies I believe.

the only thing thats gonna bug me about the 3DS is that the analogue stick is on the felt side, it sucks because I am a lefty :/

Do any consoles have left-handed peripherals?

Besides PC.

Or anything that used Atari 2600 style joysticks. Which I always thought was kind of weird, but I wired up one of my joysticks to be right-handed, and it was just way too awkward to use, so I switched it back.

I can't wait until it comes out, also the new games such as Paper Mario, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake and more!

The analogue stick on the top-left seems... weird...

I got used to using one on the left even though I am left-handed.

The biggest problem with autostereoscopy is that you have to view the image at the perfect angle to see it correctly. This makes a handheld device a logical choice to use it since you generally have a set viewing angle, but it also means that moving or tilting the device just a bit could have severe gameplay consequences. This is a very bold move for Nintendo, and after their experience with Virtual Boy I imagine they must be very convinced this will work to take this direction, but I'm taking a wait and see approach nonetheless.

I'd like it for some of the features, but I probably won't get it, even though my right trigger is stuck on my Lite unit. With the way my eyes are, I can't see any difference in 3D and regular platform until I take off the glasses, when it looks blurry. I know that isn't how the 3DS will work, but if I can't tell a difference on things that are drawn to 3D in game play besides in sharpness, it just seems like I'd be getting the unit for the freshness.

Oh heck yeah I'm excited! That one Icarus game looks sick! Does anyone know if there will be a new kingdom hearts or a remake of the first kingdom hearts? KH is my favorite game series.
