Does anyone play it?
I started a few years ago but left for a few years and recently returned. Would anyone be interested in playing? Or, do any of you still play?
My girlfriend and I have started a guild but there are no other members.
We would both be interested in finding other neofriends!

I've played it off and on since 2002 when I remember it exists. It's been a few years. I play things like poptropica whenever there's a new island. I used to play Facebook games until I got tired of all the requests to post to my wall and permission for a bunch of information they didn't need.

That's what annoyed me about facebook games, I even made a seperate account for them because the sheer number of notifications was whelming.

I've been playing since roughly 2004, but this account I'm using is from 2007. Recently I've been quite active, though. Logging on every day.

I'm interested in trophy and avatar collecting, as well as the battledome and generally gathering neopoints. If anyone is similarly interested, as I said before I would like to find neofriends and or guildmates.

Just out of question what exactly is neopets? Is it like an online pokemon? Is it like monster rancher? How do you play it? What type of game is it? RPG,Strategy,MMORPG,adventure?

I played years ago, was very good at it, but then got banned. This displeased me, I believe I may have a bit of an obsession with online games...out of nothing more than boredom, Neopets was good, beats Farmville which I'm currently stuck playing

The basics are that you create a pet / multiple pets and look after them. There are games you can play on the site to get "neopoints" which are the currency on the site and you can use them to purchase things for your pet(s). You can also battle your pet(s) against other peoples or against default challengers.

There's also site events that take place over the year that people can choose to take part in.

I was into it a few years ago. Still have the site bookmarked. Haven't played it in ages.

I used to play, but the ADVERTIZING was just getting, violent. too much product placement for my tastes.

I used to play when I was in middle/high school (aka 1999-2004ish). I got myself banned on purpose when I decided to quit for good. I just got sick of how EVERY GODDAMN THING on it was centered on the market and neopoints. If I want to play something that's about an economy, I'll take some interest in the stock market thank you very much.

Sorry if this necropost is in bad taste, but I feel that Neopets should be bumped back up to the top. It's a legitimate game with a collection of games therein.

Yes, I play it. A friend from school got me to, but now she doesn't want anything to do with me.

I played it way back in the day (like middle school/high school). At one point it stopped being about the game and became more of a community/social network of sorts (this was before myspace and such really took off). Made a lot of lasting friendships that started on that site.
