Stop the world - LET ME OFF!
I am feeling so overwhelmed right now. I feel like the entire world is caving in on me, and I'm not retreating fast enough. _________________ Said the apple to the orange,

Ouch.
Double ouch, actually: one for you, and one for me because I know this one.
The perception MAY be in error. The situation may not be as bad as it appears.
Me, I'm looking at retiring to more defensible positions. |

I don't think anyone should ever do that!
There are a lot of good people in this world, and I don't want them all to die! _________________ Jason Larsen

She passed away herself, but her music must bring back memories for you. _________________ Jason Larsen

I'm trying to be optimistic but it's hard.
I just feel so...overwhelmed by everything.
The future. MY future. What am going to do with myself? How much more can I screw my life? Does it even matter anymore?
People. Having to deal with them every day. Forcing myself to talk when I don't want to say anything.
I can't seem to relax and unwind.
Plus I've been a really bad dog owner and my dog is puzzled. Not that I don't love him, but I just want my own space. Lots of space. So much space that I don't want to deal with him, yet I know it's wrong to boot him outside alone for a few hours. _________________ Said the apple to the orange,

Are you quite sure that's not an oncoming train? |

I would SO like to believe you about that, and the light itself. I don't see it myself.
I'm more sort of "Alone, in the dark, with the compass spinning."
Or Matthew Arnold's "Dove Beach" fits quite well.
"...for the world...
Hath really neither joy, nor love, nor light,
Nor certitude, nor peace, nor help for pain;
And we are here as on a darkling plain
Swept with confused alarms of struggle and flight,
Where ignorant armies clash by night." |
