...What exactly do you mean by 'get'? Are you trying to find an avatar, or do you have one that you want to put up? _________________ If at first you don't succeed, maybe failure is your style. |

I think you go to
Profile --> scroll down to the end of the page and you'll see
| Quote: | Avatar Control Panel
Upload Avatar from your machine: "Upload Through Forum Profile"
Upload Avatar from a URL: "Upload Through Forum Profile"
Link to off-site Avatar: _________ |
Click "Upload Avatar from your machine," and then go down to the end of the page and click "Choose." The big thing is getting the file size right: right click on your file and click "Properties" and it'll tell you how big it is. It has to be less than 6kb and no more than 130 pixels wide by 130 pixels tall. Also, it won't tell you if your .jpg or .gif is too big.
I hope this helps you!

If you want an animated avatar, you should upload it to a site like http://www.photobucket.com and tell the forum where to find it because the avatar size limits here are pretty small. _________________ I'm a girly Linux user. Got a problem with it? Tough! |

Another option:
Go here: http://imageshack.us/
Click Browse... find your desired avitar on your hard drive and ckick it. Check resize image and select 100x75 or 150x112 and click host it!
Wait.
See the code at the bottom labeled "Direct link to image"? Right click directly on the code, inside the box, and click Select All. This highlights the code. Right click the highlighted code and click Copy.
Back at WP, in the Avatar Control Panel where you see
Avatar Control Panel
Upload Avatar from your machine: "Upload Through Forum Profile"
Upload Avatar from a URL: "Upload Through Forum Profile"
Link to off-site Avatar: _________
paste the code you copied into the space next to Link to off-site Avatar: (right click on the space and click paste), and click Save Avatar.
It'sposed ta work. _________________
