I LOVE TO TRAVEL! It is definitely one of my favourite things to do. These are the places I have been to (that I can really remember):
Melbourne, Australia- I have a lot of family in Victoria (so my opinion of the place is probably a little biased) and I've been many times. It is great!
New York City- Greatest place on Earth! NYC is the most exciting city I have ever been to. I think everyone should go there at least one time. Also, movies and pictures don't do it justice. It is amazing!
Montana- Opposite to NYC. I went there with some friends, so I did have fun. I'm just not the farm type.
Jackson, Mississippi- Didn't like it much. Some of the old Southern houses were beautiful, but I don't think I'm the Southern type either. My opinion of the South was mainly formed by my encounter with many of their gigantic, mutant cockroaches. Yuck!
Munich, Germany- Awesome city. Really good if you're a history or architecture buff.
Salzburg and Innsbruck, Austria- Same as Munich. Salzburg is especially good for music buffs because that is where Mozart was from.
Venice, Italy- Amazing. That city was so unique. St. Mark's Square and the pigeons are very cool. The Italian people were also really friendly.
I've been to other places as well, like Vancouver, Canada, all over California, and Las Vegas, more times than I can even count. |

University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI.
It's a very friendly place. The people there were so nice: the girls were friendly, and guys were respectful. Although there were a few stuck-up people, their presence wasn't "toxic" at all. At a party, I managed to say something that was "right on" while talking to a group, and even found a girl to dance with. BTW, the "right on" statement was about Bush's plan to cut Amtrak's funding, after someone mentioned trains. Knowing how these things almost never happen to me, UW is the place.
University of Urbana-Champaign (Illinois) is a close second. It has a lot of the characteristics of UW, but I didn't like the layout of the town as much. Still a great place, though.
Best of luck to all who decide to visit. And BTW, I don't go to either one of these schools. |

Wow, that really does make UW sound awesome! About the nice guys and gals, the party and comments...The "right on" comment...was that in response to you being for or against the Bush Plan to pwn Amtrak? 'Cuz I know people have very definite opinions on that matter. _________________ "So when they rolled their eyes at me and told me 'I ain't normal,' I always took it as a compliment"--Katrina Elam |

The response was in support of Amtrak.
Someone mentioned that trains are cool. In resonse, I said: "Well, you better not vote for Bush. He wants to cut off Amtrak's funding." I don't remember the rest of the conversation, but my comment fit in pretty well. At the very least, Kerry fans backed me up. |

| I've always wanted to visit Europe. I want to visit some of the local areas and not just eat in all the touristy restaurants. |

NEVER VISIT FLORIDA DURING THE SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!
No really, you shouldn't. Hordes of tourist, most of which smell of sunscreen and sweat. I'm assuming this because the heat index is triple digit and sweat won't evaporate. So basically you're hot, and smell like the beach... in a bad way. Orlando's OK if you're a theme park. St. Augustine is more fun for me because it's cheaper and less known. Orlando is pricey. And if you ever see an advertisement for a theme park in Georgia (Wild Adventures), ignore it. The park is highly overrated and not worth the money.
Just my 2 dollars. _________________ (Currently undergoing personality reboot) |

Aspie1 that's cool...glad to see that I'm not the only one on this board who wants to see them get the funding they need for state of good repair, and hopefully expansion thereafter...versus what the administration has proposed.
And from what I've heard, Kerry rides the NEC a lot...not to mention votes for their funding, so I'm glad to hear that Kerry's supporters were supportive on that issue, even though it's not the biggest issue to most Americans right now. _________________ "So when they rolled their eyes at me and told me 'I ain't normal,' I always took it as a compliment"--Katrina Elam |
