Here are two pictures of Kenneth Harding from two different news sources.

it looks like the blemishes on his left cheek in the bottom photo have been cloned and rotated and pasted on his nose in the top one.

A. I read into this because you are one of the relatively reliable

B. I got NO clue who this is or why one would want to adjust his photo.

C. In light of the ears, particularly the right ear [on the left side the photo], I am incline to suggst tentatively that either they are distinct photos OR the editing drew on two photos.

look at the position of the bottom crop they are identical.
the nostrils in the upper picture are not lined up.
look at the asymmetry of the ears he seems to have his head tilted in the bottom picture
but to have one ear much lower than the other in the top picture.

I make no claim to expertise in this area - though my gut reaction is that it it was done it was a lousy job.

But to what possible end if so?

Interesting.

At first glance they appear to be different views.
The upper picture has his head straight on looking at the camera, but in the lower picture his head is cocked back slightly. But on close inspection they do seem to be the same picture.

In the upper picture his ears are higher on his head- being even with the corners of his eyes instead of below the corners of his eyes.

In the lower picture his left ear (on our right) has rounded top.

But in the above picture both of his ears are mirror image clones of each other.

In the upper picture his nose is longer. The bone part is longer -more space between the eyes and soft nostril part of his nose (if you get what im sayin).

Ofcourse his nose would look shorter in the lower picture if his head were cocked back. So either they are two different pictures- taken with his head at different angles, or they are the same picture with someone photoshoping him to make him look like he is looking at you straight on when his head was cocked back- or the opposite.

But his face seems to be pointed horizontally in the same direction in both pictures lending credence to them being in fact derived from the same picture. It would be hard to catch him looking in exactly the same horizontal direction twice. Indeed - except for his ears- he seems to have the exact same silohuette in both pictures!

I think youre right.
I think one is a photoshop of the other.
The top one has a flat fake look to it. The bottom looks natural and full dimensional. So I vote for the top being the fake and the bottom being real.

Why did they do it? To make him look meaner to sell more papers maybe?

His eyes look narrower and more steely in the above picture. But they are actually exactly the same shaped eyes.

Since his head was titled back slightly in the original picture his normal wide eyes were foreshortened by the angle. So when they faked the rest of his face to appear that he was looking straight at you it creates the illusion that his eyes are narrow (they propped up everything but his eyes).

its not morality based on an over-riding objective moral code, immorality reside with the side of the police, especially in a criminal haven like Oakland, so no one snitches, even if the person who the police are after harmed others and the cops were just after him to protect the public.

If they are a minority and carry themselves in a ghetto way in the bay... I don't trust them, just as I wouldn't trust whites in certain parts of rural Oregon. Their just douchebags waiting to catch you slippin.

To the OP, the original intent of the photoshop was to alienate the precieved criminal from someone of familiarity so that people wouldn't sympathize for him as a son, as a father(if he has kids), as someone you could have known from high school or work so that you can feel comfy in saying that this guy probably deserved it and we are a better world without him. Big ups to the Oakland Police... if one can imagine a difficult city to police, it would be Oakland.

no, for the one doing the photoshop, I feel there are bad intentions involved, my hunch being that it is meant to de-familiarize him by making him look like a crooked crook who deserved to be shot so that you cannot relate, and therefore, pity him. We should wait to find out what truly happened before vilifying him. he is dead, so he's not out there to witness his dignity taken away from him by someone sitting behind an adobe app... but its still not right.

The other bits were my overall dislike for most ghetto people in the bay.
