Well, I'm back in oshkosh. I managed to survive my move back in to my room and get my books. But once again there was just too much going on around me for me to feel comfortable. I set foot into the union and all the noise made my head start to spin around in circles.

I some how got my books in paid for them, the got back up to my room where I crashed hard on my bed. My head was throbbing and of all the things I forgot to bring with was my aleeve. So I had to get myself up and back over to the union to get some advil since that's all they have. I also got some microwavable pizzas which cooked up nice in the crappy microwave I have in my room.

So now I'm feeling much better. Tomorrow I start class at 10am.

Nothing like moving back and hitting the books all in 24 hours.

Hey Scoots,

I always feel like that the first week or so of school - you have to switch your whole schedule around from relaxed (at home) to stressed out (at college) atmosphere - and it is quite over-stimulating to enter the student union - even if it's a small college like mine where the lunch area/cafetaria is the only meeting area.

I also know what that's like - I live at home and commute to school, but between the day before classes, and the first day *of* classes I also have a hard time sleeping or doing anything because I'm all jazzed up, and then on the first day I have to cling to a little piece of paper showing my schedule or I get completely lost about what classes to go to when and what books I need that day. It's not that untypical of me to forget a notebook for a class and have to improvise with another notebook for a different class. <grin>

Good luck, and let me know how it goes - I start my second week of this semester tomorrow.

Well so far it's 12:23 am. I'll be staying up watching insomniac theater tonight. My body is refusing to shut down for sleep in light of it having to re-aclimate itself to a new environment.

This week should be fun, just like the first one was back in september!

I was pulling a rainman this afternoon when I was driving over. I was rather nervous and I found myself repeating funny Simpsons quotes to myself over and over.

Oye! I haven't even begun classes yet and I've already made a fool of myself.

I go to get breakfast this morning, and as I'm climbing the stairs to get up to the dining level, i'm fumbling through my wallet for my student ID. I get about half up the steps when I mis-step and nearly plant myself face first on the stairs.

no one was there to witness my gaffe. I'm still in the clear.
