I have recently finished the "Ass Burgers" episode of South Park. It did include some boring jokes about burgers being spewed from our rears, but claimed Aspergers is a facade. It portrayed those who were affected by it as low-functioning, spastic, ret*ds! It proceeded to call Aspergers a disease, and illness; almost as if it were a hardship the likes of pancreatic cancer! I am very disappointed with this episode. Regardless of whether or not Aspergers is to be joked about, this is a grotesque portrayal of aspies.

I don't care if they make fun of us but they at least need to get their insults right.

This episode was not about aspergers at all, really. I was kind of led to believe this would be an episode about aspergers. Not an episode about Cartman's ass burgers.

it so much as joking about aspergers but more like being a matrix parody. aspergers and matrix...because they go so well together.

Well, I'm still gonna see the episode. It doesn't air here for a couple of hours.

It's South Park. This is a television show that makes jokes about everything. It doesn't surprise me.

Well, I knew the episode was going to be offensive. How can we expect them to treat us with sensitivity if they insult everything else under the sun?

Well it actually is.......there is an area called South Park in Colorado which contains multiple small towns. Can't remember which one is supposed to be the basis for the town of South Park in the show.

South Park is a show that continuously pushes the envelope so I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up portraying it the most insulting manner possible.

I like the writers. They write some very clever episodes. This one just sounds a bit dumb.
I'm not ready to give a final judgement until I see it.
I remember people complaining about the Steve Erwin joke but was just a really small bit that didn't outrage us as much as people that watched it before us.

I haven't seen the episode, but this is my favorite show and pretty much the only thing I watch on TV anymore. Of course, I have to watch this on the internet since I have no cable or satellite or anything, but that's not the point...

I'm going to watch it, and I don't really even care if it's insulting or wrong. I just want a good laugh, which Matt and Trey are usually good at providing me with. They've made fun of things I am and like before, and it was still funny.

Well it really wasn't about asperger's at all, that was just a device to get to something else. The whole point was to have everyone get everything wrong, so everyone looks stupid until the last two minutes where someone makes a point about something, which ended up not being about asperger's at all.

It seemed like it was more about making fun of how screwed up people's ideas are about things like AS. It's pretty funny if you think about it.

If there was a point about something, I missed it. But now Stan's an alcoholic.
