Anyone else on WP a fan of the XKCD serial comic? I think it's hilarious!
If everyone could post their favorite frames from XKCD on this thread that would be amazing!
Here is one of mine: _________________ Life is a long series of juxtapositions, ironies, and paradoxes. |

| I also like all the absurdly detailed graphs and diagrams he has occasionally. |

I have 10 bookmarks with XKCD comics, and more in my laptop... can't choose...
Let's go for this one. I actually printed it

I do like xkcd too, though haven't read it for a while. Some of my favourites are
Cat Proximity
Exploits of a Mom (which you'll understand if you know any SQL)
The Difference
Also, I just stumbled upon s/keyboard/leopard (which means "replace keyboard with leopard" if you're unfamiliar with pattern matching/substitution like with sed). |

Yeah, that's a good way to sum it up for me, too. I think I understand them better now than when I first started reading xkcd, but there are still some that I'm not geeky enough to get - or maybe just not smart enough.
A random one I liked:
It's not all geekiness, I like his comics about relationships, too, like this one:
I can identify with many of them, like this one:
I know people on WP have said Randall is not an Aspie and he's probably not - but he doesn't strike me as "normal", either. |

I used to like this comic a lot more. Recently something like 80% of the strips are over my head, might as well be written in Finnish. Maybe I'm just progressively losing touch with what is current. I suppose that's likely enough.
For example, I was excited when I saw that this one was about cats, then stared at it for ten minutes before realizing I had no chance of understanding what he was talking about and going to read SMBC instead:
But anyway I still read it regularly and the ones I get are well worth waiting for. It's hard to choose favorites. I'll just post a couple and step aside.

That's because the comic isn't actually about cats, it's about the cat code names for the OSX. I'm guessing the joke is that they're running out of cool cat names, I need to see the rollover text.
For those who say he isn't an aspie, what isn't aspish about him? _________________ Cinnamon and sugary

Not sure how to post XKCD comics but I have the t-shirt:

which I like to wear around religious people. |

I know what you mean. But I get the impression that XKCD is mostly trying to be clever or sentimental, not funny. It doesn't usually make me laugh, but it often makes me interested in a certain topic, or thoughtful. That said, it is occasionally responsible for some of the funniest gags ever. "SOMEONE IS WRONG ON THE INTERNET" is an absolute classic. |
