How about alone in a cabin by a beautiful mountain lake. The cabin would have modern conveniences, but would look rustic. Due to my other health problems I can no longer handle having pets, but if I can imagine being in that place, I can also imagine being well enough to handle pets, so there would be several dogs, and two or three cats there with me. And all of us would be repulsive to fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes, without having to use toxic stuff to achieve that effect. There would be a library room there with loads of books on topics I am interested in, too. And there would be plenty of food and other staples on hand. And it would have off the grid power.
I have been in lovely places like that before. Although the place I am in now isn't so nice, it's not too bad. Although it's a run down old trailer, I live alone, which I prefer. Also, behind the trailers on my side of the trailer park, there are no neighbors. Instead, a few yards past the flat land of the lots, a wooded mountain starts going up. I often see wild life out there, and it's quieter than on the other three sides of the T-park. The side across from me backs on a school yard-noisy at times. The back end of the park backs onto a town park--also noisy at times, and the front end has a main local road going past. So I am on the best side of the park, and towards the back which is better than towards the front, due to the layout of the lanes. And from my trailer I can see mountains in every direction. So even though it's not the greatest place, it's got enough good points to satisfy me. I am also gradually fixing it up, too.
Yes, there are lovely places out there, but at least the place I'm in is decent. |
