It's embarrassing and I hate it.

She forces me through crowded halls and even makes students stare or laugh at her.

I mean, she's nice and she listens, but she never really gives life-changing, eye-opening advice.
She's kind of useless.

And, Omigod, in middle school, I'd come home and cry because I didn't even KNOW i was embarrassed.
I was so confused.

What else sucks is that another aide I had for awhile made me like her pet or her child.

She would even have an A-f*cking-DHD student talk with her and disrespect me to my face like "Oh, yeah I'm a preacher's daughter so I work with kids a lot"
Can you believe a student with ADHD told me that?

It's like it makes the f*cking aide popular and I'm like some novel toy.
I feel like such a tool

I had an educational assistant when I first switched schools in grade 7 because of my history of meltdowns about going to school and the whole new school transitioning thing. Yes, I found it very annoying. She'd be on my back during the whole school day following me from class to class. She was nice but after awhile she got annoying and one time she snapped at me because I didn't show up to do a presentation in front of her. We only had one educational assistant at that middle school and luckily when I was in grade 8 there was a girl in a wheelchair who needed an educational assistant to help her around the school so I didn't have to have her again that year. Ironically, my marks improved in grade 8 and I got the award for most improved student. I think it's because I didn't feel caged in by her.

I remember once in grade 7 a mean girl in my class asked me if I found it annoying that my educational assistant was always constantly following me around and I said yeah it was. She then proceeded to tell the whole class that I found Ms. D annoying and she was like oh my god, you're so mean. Rolling Eyes
