So on June 13 I am going to my dads. I am really excited because we are going to water parks we play games and just have a blast. The problem is that I am used to driving the five hour drive but this time I am going to go on a plane alone. I love flying like LOVE it but I have been watching the news recently and heard about terrisrs and I am scared that I may die. I have an over active imagination so if I see a person who looks suspisious I will panic. No offence but no madder where I am going if I see a Muslim I just walk the other way. The plane ride is only one hour but I am getting really nervous. Also if I don't fly I can't see my dad and I haven't seen him since February. Also the tickets are no refundable so that is out of the question. I don't know what to do.

you only hear the worst ends; for every example that went horribly wrong, there are dozens, if not hundreds, where nothing worth mentioning happened, but you dont hear about them becouse it's not worth mentioning.
news just doesn't sell if you report things like "50 planes did not crash today"

I'm more afraid of the plane falling out of the sky than I am hijackers. If I was on a plane that got hijacked I'd figure that I'm dying anyway so I plan to go down fighting. That would surprise them, so plan on that.

Also, they probably aren't gonna mess with planes anymore because we have that covered now. They will find something else to bother, I'm sure.

I kind of have to agree with that, it won't really do you any good...besides there can be terrorists of any race, religion, nationality ect.

This.

Im assuming you live in the US. Doctors there seem to still hands benzodiazipines out like candy. So they will most definately give you a couple of pills if you tell them your are freaking out about taking a flight. I think thats like the number one reason for them being prescribed. Even in this country where they really dont like prescribing them to people at all nowadays.

Flying is statistically safer than driving. Asking your doctor about medicine for calming you prior to your flight is an option, right? You will be there before you know it, a one hour flight barely has time for them to pass out a soda to everyone Very Happy I hope you feel better.
