So, some days ago I practiced maths for about three hours straight, and it flowed quite well, with only a few errors... the day after I could barely make myself even continue on, and when I did I constantly diverted my attention... today I managed about twenty minutes so far with a lot of diversion still... and errors.
So, I don't know why I sometimes feel like I actually would love to do something but at other times I'm at the opposite end... this doesn't just happen with this subject, by the way, but it's harder because I don't usually do maths...
Not sure, is this some inconsistent form of ADD, by any chance? |

errors can often happen just by chance. suppose your finger slips on your calculator and you end up going on with a bad number. Then you start hitting Inconsistencies and don't know why. Your confidence falls. You thought you knew how to do this. maybe you arent as good at maths as you thought? and its all downhill from there.
so what often happens with me is that if I get something right or learn something exciting, its a thrill and keeps me going. But if I get something wrong and don't immediately see why it is wrong, that can destroy me. Some people have friends or parents or easily accessible teachers around to just shoot things to for checking, but people like me with social trouble often don't.
"inconsistent ADD" seems to me an indication of no ADD, but environmental stressors sometimes there sometimes not, which have not yet been addressed with "therapy" (self-directed or otherwise) |
