Sorry to pester with the trivial issues of my life, but I was hoping to get help on how to cope with the high school to college transition. I am experiencing a torrent of ambiguous and abstract emotions as well as dysphoric episodes over the change. Yesterday was new student orientation and I spent the night in a dorm room on campus; I did manage to sleep, but nothing really felt quite right to me the whole time. I actually ended up wandering around campus for about 45 minutes before returning to my dorm room. My routine is out of balance and my childhood is ending. To put it frankly: sh** just got real. Everything got real, but I am lagging behind, unable to appreciate it as real. Somebody just tell me that it is okay or that I will eventually fall back into my natural patterns. I am coming apart at the seams. I feel shattered and spread out about the floor. Just writing this down is reducing me to tears: I really cannot type much longer. If anyone has any advice/wisdom I would be glad to hear it.

This is exactly me. EXACTLY. Except I'm a rising sophomore. My first year was pretty terrible...

But, it will all be okay. You will DEFINITELY get into a routine and probably love your classes.

^Thanks, it is good to hear from someone whose hindsight is my foresight.
