Epilepsy and seizures are moar common in autism. The figure that I have read in the scientific literature is that 30% of autistic people have some kind of significant seizure activity during their lives. That does not mean that 30% of autistic people have epilepsy, just seizures at some point in their lives and abnormal epileptiform EEGs. I am not sure what percentage have epilepsy. There is a hypothesis that autism is caused by an imbalance of excitation and inhibition in the brain, and that the increased incidence of seizures and epilepsy in autism is also caused by increased excitation and decreased inhibition.

I had full-body head-banging seizures in my sleep during my late teens and early twenties, but not anymore.

I've known a lot of people who have Asperger's who also suffer from seizures now and again. I think it is more common.

My dad had epilepsy as a kid, and I'm pretty sure he is somewhere on the spectrum.

I had some pretty significant seizure activity as a kid, but nothing since my high school days.
