| Have you ever had anyone talk about how a certain group of people who do X are very bad for doing so, and you engage in activity Y, and in fact Y is very different from X, but you have to understand the context in order to distinguish the two, as they are similar enough, so you have a hard time telling whether X and Y are different. Then, because you are a bit neurotic, you begin to feel incredibly guilty and think, What if I do do X? I'm a horrible person! I must pay penance! |

Have you actually been told that you are doing something wrong? Or are you worried about having to explain yourself and being misunderstood?
Sounds kind of familiar to me... but perhaps if you gave specific examples for X and Y, we might know what it is that you may or may not be 'neurotic' about.
WP members are pretty understanding folks, it seems. |

I'm not looking for support. Just wondering if people have had similar experiences. |
