Hi,

To all virtual reality film lovers i recommend the movie eXistenZ. It's sort of like the Matrix, where they plug into a virtual world. It starts out with the testing of the game called eXistenZ, a group of people plug into the world of eXistenZ trough a "Bio-Port". This is a device that can be fitted to your lower spine. Then they go trough multiple layers of reality but never really know what is real or not. And the main characters are very cool aswell, i like Allegra Geller alot.

I saw that movie, in fact. It didn't get the attention it deserved.

Watched this film, good performance by Jude Law and I love science fiction from that era, the Thirteenth floor and Dark city are also amazing.

I saw it when I was about 12 when I couldn't sleep, it was on TV and I thought it was quite trippy. Great film though, original.

I love films that focus on virtual reality. I wish they'd make a Sims movie one day. Smile

That would be great, the closest thing that reminds me of the Sims is The Truman show as the film is based on an artificial reality.

Jasmine, you should definitely check out the Thirteenth floor if you haven't seen it because that's based on Virtual reality as well and it came out before the Matrix.

Spoiler

What did you guys think about the end? Were they still in the game? I think so for various reasons. One is the people's reaction to the killing of the game makers was similar to those when the waiter got killed. And the dog was not plugged into the virtual world, so how could the end be real life if the dog was there aswell?
