Is it stimming? Is it the technical term for stimming?

It was on my report from the ADOS. I was also diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder.

Just really curious.

I think it's different.

I think stimming should feel good right? I don't know really. I do this thing where I like to hit my head over and over and over again with my fist. Not hard or anything, just because it feels good. Is that a stim or not?

Psychomotor agitation is much more uncomfortable. I have had similar experiences on certain medications. Basically it feels like you want to rip your shirt off all the time and you want to throw everything in sight (I think)

She said it was my fidgeting, but not all of my fidgeting is because I'm anxious.

Some of it is true stimming - it feels good and passes the time. I still do it when I'm stressed, but it feels good.

Just a little confused. There has to be overlap. And no, I don't want to pull my shirt off unless I'm overstimulated and it's bothering me. Laughing

I don't know if hitting your head is a stim....hmmm
