Well, my mother the borderline personality disorder who is a b*tch to me at her best times, broke her wrist last night. She had taken her sleeping pill which she has been taking for three years every night and had gotten refilled yesterday, and when she got up to go to bed she fell and broke her wrist. She was stuck on the floor with just her cell phone and couldn't get up. I'm out of minutes on my phone so she couldn't get me and she called an ambulance but also had to call my son's dopehead baby mama to call the maintenance man to come unlock her door so the paramedics could get in. The dope ho did that and then volunteered to come over here and knock on my door to let me know what happened. She volunteered twice to do that and so my mother was expecting me and waiting on me.

The b*tch never did. She texted my younger son who was at the lake to get him to text my daughter and let her know. Everybody was asleep. I didn't find out till 5am about it. She said she was "scared to come over here because she was afraid of me".

Considering that I'm a grownup and it was an emergency, no matter how much I hate the manipulating, lying whore who cheated on my son several times at their house, I would have simply said "Oh no! Can you wait a second while I dress and grab my purse and then run me over there so I can ride with her to the hospital in the ambulance?" and that would have been that. That's how adults handle those situations.

She's been going all around town not only lying about me left and right and making up ridiculous stuff about me, but she's been telling everybody who would listen how she was going to "kick my ass" when she saw me again. Now, I'm not worried about that because even though I'm no badass, I could handle her easily, but I would simply fall down and scream and call 911 if she hit me and then press charges. That's much better than handing her ass to her. But that wouldn't even have been on my mind last night. I would have been concerned over my mother and wanting to get over there to her place.

I guess the dope ho was worried that her words were about to catch up with her or something. I also guess that she doesn't understand how grownups handle situations.

Also, my freaking AC broke and it's over 100 outside.

I had to cancel my party because of all this thats going on, but that's the least of my worries.

I won't have a vehicle for the next week because my husband has to go to his family reunion and he wouldn't miss that even if I were in the hospital having open heart surgery. So I'll be walking back and forth to my mothers house, after dark in many cases, and they havent caught the guy who commited the one murder that this town has had in about five years. It happened a few weeks ago and has been kept hush hush because it was wierd and it's being investigated. Everybody knows about it though and everybodys been talking about it. So theres this crazy guy running loose around here who killed this high school girl in the cemetary and left her there. That's all I freaking need, to have to worry about that nutcase while I'm walking to my mothers at 10 at night after it's cooled off outside to about 90.

Life just doesn't get any better than this.

I don't have the money to rent a car. I'm barely going to be able to pay my power bill this month and now on top of that I am going to have to figure out a way to get the AC fixed. It's broken and the temps are in the high 90's, low 100's here and will be for the foreseeable future. My mother can't afford to rent one either.

Sorry you are having such a tough time. If you have a bike, ride that to and from. If you don't have one, can you borrow a bike or spare car from a relative?

As for AC, the one that came with my trailer was broken when I moved in several years ago. Once I had the money to fix it, it broke down after a couple of days use, because it is on the south side of the trailer, with no shade, so it overheated. Any AC in that location will break down for the same reason, and there is no where else in the living room are on the trailer where I could put one. I came up with an alternate plan that works well. I already had an old industrial fan. I now have two more. One is in this spare room that I am in now, that I use for my home office and other stuff. Another is in the living room and aimed partly at the kitchen, which is mostly open to the living room. The oldest one is by the bathroom, which gets really hot on hot days. I just drag it in and aim it right at me when I have to use the john on hot days. I have IBS, so I have to spend a lot of time on the toilet. I don't open the bathroom window, because of a design flaw. When you open that window it creates an opening to the outside on both vertical tracks. This lets bugs in. The front kitchen window is the same style, so I don't open that one either. Fortunately the rest of the windows are a different design, so I can keep them open, and the end room doors open for four way air circulation.
Four way circulation works good, even without the fans, but on hot days I need the fans to boost the effect and I wear a night shirt around the house. On really hot days I also use ice packs to help keep me cool, and don't do any really physical chores. All this really does work to keep me from getting too crazy from the heat.

Remember, if you need to buy the fans, get INDUSTRIAL FANS. Table top and other non industrial fans aren't strong enough to do a good job. You can get industrial fans at any hard ware store, Walmart, and other big box discount department stores. They don't cost much, and use a lot less electricity than an AC, so they cost less to use.

When you need a really strong cooling effect, like after coming in from mowing the lawn, aim an industrial fan right at you, but later, once you cool down some, tilt it to aim more at the ceiling. That pushes cooler floor air up higher, and cools down the hot air higher up. It also makes the whole room feel breezy, as the fan air spreads out when it hits the ceiling, then it hits the walls and starts bouncing around the room. Presto! An all around breeze! Very Happy

I've got the living room/kitchen fan on right now, to keep that part of the trailer from getting too hot, and to keep my old, worn out fridge from over heating. I've got the fan in here on too, to keep me from over heating, Laughing and it's working great! Very Happy So get a couple of industrial fans, so you can chill with me! Laughing

And this is why I wish to live in a shack in Vermont and never talk to anyone.
