Poem on asperger's

I just recently found out that I have asperger's and this is a poem I wrote....

Wandering upon in the light

as I found who I am last night.

The life I live can now make sense

and give some reason to the past events

Curiosity always destroyed what I can

and giving me no real reason, meaning or plan.

Trying to become everything that I saw

but never really understanding anything at all

Feeling unusual, foreign, and loud

but no real expression was ever allowed

I cried of pain and sorrow and shame

always thinking that I was to blame

Little did I know was that I was born to be

a different unusual person for eternity

I see the world differently, not wrong

explaining the confusion all along.

I'm viewed as a foreigner in my home town

I feel I am smiling when there is actually a frown

I think you're a friend when you think I'm a clown

confusion and delusion is the reason I'm down

unusual interests preoccupy my mind

giving me no conversational topics to find

I solve problems in an unconventional way

having no real explaination to say

this is odd behaviour but I'm not alone

there's a name for this set in stone

there's many of us on the path to roam

trying to find our place, meaning and home

the world is not set up for our ways

giving us little recognition and praise

but it gets better for I am told

letting us inside out from the cold.
