I know this may seem like a stupid question but is there a Skype group that 20 plus aspies use? I really need to get my social skills up because just trying to copy NT's just makes me look like an idiot. its not that im anxious in social interaction but some times I come across in the wrong way when talking to people I don't know. thanks for reading this and please don't take the pi** , after all im just a bored aspie trying to make my self appear more approachable and less weird.

I know a few of us use 1-1 Skype, but nothing like a large group.

One on one here as well. Managing two conversions at the same time is rather difficult.

I barely use Skype, in fact I only use it to converse with one other person through IM and occasionally audio call, because I don't have a webcam atm. I didn't even know there was such thing as a "Group" on Skype. I suppose I might join one though, if there were. :roll:

You have to pay for it; it is no longer free for use with webcams. You can use mics for free, though.

Ah, okay. I need to read the details of this thread; I'm curious. I just haven't had a lot of time for Skype because of college.

I haven't heard that! I haven't done a video call in while.

EDIT: Ok, I looked at it, I think it's just the group webcam use that isn't free.

The largest group call that can use webcams is 9 people (no matter how many use webcams).

I am always logged into my Rift guild's skype channel, which has 15 people. Conversation and activity varies a lot - fairly low most of the time, up to fairly active on the weekends. I only participate when I feel like it. I've known most of the people in the channel via video games for a few years, which makes things easier.
