Iceland just moved up in my book.

Feel free to PPR this if/when necessary.

Do they even provide up-to-date information or is it mostly old state department emails?

A politician who actually has a backbone for once? What's he doing there, pay him up and get him over to Whitehall ASAP!

These Icelanders can stand up for themselves. I might not always agree with them, but they're not stupid people and are fiercely independent.

Up Iceland and up their rather brilliant Independence Party, too. :)

Yay, really good news for a change! ^_^

Thumbs up for Iceland! ^_^ And f**k the corrupt U.S. police state. -_-; Oh, and remember to stay out of the EU, Icelanders, if you want to remain as independent as you currently seem to be.

They're doing that. Don't worry - the main opposition party in Iceland and most of the Icelandic public in general have absolutely no desire to join the EU, and most of them want to withdraw the EU membership application that's been hanging around for years. The pro-EU politicians - mostly socialist - want to keep it on the table for their own reasons though.

Why should the Us even be sending FBI agents over there?

A once great country is now a bully.

The US has become the policy enforcer for various transnational corporations.

You want him in Whitehall? Put up your quid and get ready for a bidding war; Parliament Hill (Canada's equivalent to Whitehall) has got to get us one of these!
