I'm pretty sure I have undiagnosed ASD. In my files it says I had nonverbal and speech LD in school.

During middle school I got out of the LD program. In high school everything was alright until my sophomore year. I developed OCD and depression in high school. It was really bad and I couldn't tell if it was ASD or Bipolar that was causing the problem. I was incredible amounts of stress due to moving every other year since I was born due to my parents jobs.

Once I graduated I was pretty depressed and was put on SSRI drugs. Those didn't seem to help that much and made me feel more depressed due to weight gain. After 1 year of suffering I finally got out of the black hole that I sunk into for the most of my teenage years and early twenties.

Looking back I think I could of been suffering from PTSD or Schizoaffective disorder too. I have also read that Bipolar can't be comorbid with ASD is that true?

Does anybody have similar stories with comorbidity and ASD? I have always thought that ASD isn't my only problem.

Comorbid conditions in ASD are very common and I also have some.

I was treated because of dyslexia as a child and later on I got dx with HFA, but in the meantime I'm convinced that those are mainly just autistic tendencies. Later on I was also dx with recurrent depression and gender dysphoria. Then a short while ago I was dx with AD(H)D and Tourette's and I propably have also schizotypal tendencies. I've had some prepsychotic symptoms more than once and also paranoid ideation and thought disorder. My half brother had paranoid schizophrenia. I thought about it having McDD, that's basically symptoms of a autism and schizophrenia combined, but it's not in the ICD-10 nor in the DSM-5, so I've to live with the fact that my symptoms end up in several disorders to explain them.
Psychiatry is subjective to me with dx categories who try to explain the symptoms of the patient and sometimes the patient fits smothly in one or two dx categories and sometimes the dx picture of the patient looks more like an abstract painting. 8O

I have been diagnosed with Aspergers, severe Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, learning disabilities (slow processing seed, slow reading speed, and difficulty with expressive language at times), ADD (which is secondary to, and somewhat a part of, my AS), executive function disorder, OCD, and Oppositional Defient Disorder(ODD). OCD and ODD were misdiagnosed, so I don't actually have them. And now with the DSM V, my diagnosis of AS has been changed to ASD.

I was diagnosed with OCD because of my sensory difficulties and my need for things to be predictable and the same caused by my AS. My meltdowns which I had a couple times a day, were thought to be tantrums, so I got the diagnosis of ODD.

I also have symptoms of NLVD and Dyslexia, but they are not severe enough to get a diagnosis. And I am starting to wonder if I have seizures because I get muscle twitches when I am overwhelmed sometimes.

I was diagnosed with GED, ADD, ODD, and OCD when I was 6-7 years old. When I was 12, I read about autism for the first time and I was convinced that I had it. It took 5 years until my parents and doctors finally agreed with me, and I was diagnosed with AS. The ODD and OCD were at the same time take away. I was diagnosed with SPD about 6 months before I got my AS diagnosis. I was identified with learning difficulties when I was 7 or 8. I am what is starting to be called a "twice exceptional student" because I am academically and intellectually gifted but at the same time I have learning difficulties.

I have a friend who has AS and pretty severe Bipolar. Bipolar is her primary condition with AS being considered a secondary condition.
