Hey everybody.

I decided to use this forum index area to introduce myself to the forums.

I have Bipolar II disorder.

I am 35 years old and I've lived with BP-II since I was 19 or 20. I was diagnosed with BP-II after my major depression vacation nine years ago, it lasted for five years.

I had quiet an erratic teenaged life, but then again, most of us do.

I'm using this thread as a reference to my condition , especially for other regular forum posters.

I'm perceptive, caring and extremely creative. I am luckily do not get aggressive. I can fall into an ever increasing hypomania, which I always have to shut down with medication after a few days or weeks.

A few people that I know have AS, and my search led me here.

I have read through a lot of the forums and I know a lot about you folks, especially the regular posters
If you have any questions, please hit me.

Hi, and welcome to WP!
I have Bipolar II as well.

Were you depressed for 5 years in a row?

Yeah, I went from having my own well known city center business with national awards, magazine columns etc, everything I touched turned to gold. I was always surrounded by people.

I started to sink and I fell to the bottom of a pit, dissolving on my way down. I didn't leave my bed room for those five years and the only people that I met were my mother and my doctors. I went from 11 stone to 16 stone in weight. I lost everything including my girlfriend whom I loved. I didn't talk, I didn't walk and I only left my bed room to go to the toilet in the middle of the night.
