I didn't know anything about alleged poltergeist or telekinetic activity, but I had read before about the girl who had been the inspiration for Carrie White. Thankfully, his wife Tabitha had rescued it from the waste basket, or Stephen King may have remained merely an unknown short horror story writer, and we moderns might not have been blessed with the golden age of horror literature starting out in the eighties that had been largely inspired by Stephen King.
