Hobbies and Interests: Triathlon (GB Age-group) Sprint distance, skiing (but can't afford it), all sports, motorbikes, current affairs,

Why are you here? I think I have Aspergers and also my wife but probably to a lesser degree. My 14yr old son has a AS:NOS diagnosis from age 5

Favorite music: eclectic taste, will listen to anything from Classical to Led Zepp

Books: Used to read a lot as a teenager but life/work/triathlon gets in the way these days.

TV shows/Movies: TV; BBC news when I'm home, Movies; Se7en, Shawshank Redemption, The Kite Runner, Skyfall

Instrument: Used to play the violin (badly) and the piano (v badly), also was a chorister but this was a loooonng time ago

Do you like sports? Oh yes, love sports (see above)

Family: Fab wife Cath, Scott 14, Abi 11, and Chloe 8 & Ellie the rescue cat who keeps leaving unpleasant "presents" from both ends in the bath or just about anywhere. This is Cath's dog (cat)

Plans for the future? Better balance my the work/life/family/triathlon equation. My current mission is to be a good husband to my wife and a good father to my kids.

Nice to meet you! I'm pretty sure I'm married to an aspie (I'm also one). Our relationship is riddled with different communication problems.

As above.
TBH I don't know how or why my wife puts up with me. I have been quite impossible to live with.
I seem to go into self-distruct mode every now and then and cause enormous problems for everyone around me. I only hope as time passes I will get to know myself better and be able to recognise what is going on before it "kicks off" again.
I have referred myself to the Maudsley Aspergers Adult Relationship Counselling service but have been warned it might well be a looonnngg wait. I can only pray that my wife will hang on.
I would also really, really like to be able to sleep,,,,
Thankfully my boss has been very understanding, off sick as I type.
