Society frowns upon it because of the extra "s".

If you have kids it's not something you aspire for them.I don't care about the moral issues,it's the health ones.As for open relationships, that's between the people involved.

I would say that sex workers provide a vital service to a lot of people. If it were unavailable then it would doubtless cause lots of problems. I have heard that there are people who prefer to pay for sex and get off on it. I also think a lot of prostitutes love what they do.

I have known someone who worked in the sex industry and I think they loved the idea people would pay them for sex.

Open relationships are, in my opinion, non serious relationships. I would say the two people involved are trying to have their cake and eat it.

Depends on the "society" you're referring to.

Mostly, in the U.S., being a prude seems to be related to being religious.

Personally, I'm totally pro-sex for sexual people (just leave me out of it).

Prudishness and monogamy are Roman (no, they did not have massive orgies) traditions that have survived.

Oh you mean like, people shouldn't fuss so much about sex? I think there are very good social reasons for it to be "a big deal" even though it doesn't look like it for me.

Must be hard to advocate so ardently for something you've never experienced.

Society tends to take pride in slut shaming and even the feminist movement slut shames sex positive feminists such a contradiction indeed.

I think serious would mean committed to each other as in marriage, civil partnerships etc
