Worried about my blog
I keep a close eye on the views my blog gets, as hopefully after I've owned it for 6 months I will be eligible for Google Adsense and I can make a little bit of pocket money off it. Unfortunately it seems only one subject brings in the views, and that's Aussie Rules footy! I don't want it to become a purely football blog, as a) the title really isn't fitting for a pure football blog (A Normal, Autistic Girl. Really connected to footy) and b) I have so many other things I like to talk about, like my gardening, places I like to travel, social issues, my cats, having an Autism Spectrum Disorder etc.
The worst thing is feeling like I'm spamming my blog on the various forums I go to. Twitter and Facebook I don't feel bad about as they're my pages anyway, but going on Bigfooty for example and posting a link in a thread instead of an actual post makes me feel bad (I've tried to get around it by posting a link in my sig block, and changing the link every time I make a new post) for spamming. But I don't know any other way to get views without spending money (which is currently in very short supply as it is).
I don't know, maybe as I keep going I'll just naturally get more viewers. It is interesting though how many of my viewers are from the US, France, Germany and the UK!

You left an "i" out of "autistic" in your link.

That's what I do, but how many people look at profiles? How many people scroll past sig blocks?

Just remember there is something called a fake traffic. There is an internet worm that chooses a post and make thousands of views for it. It's not dangerous but can make the statics unrealiable - you might think the post is just popular but in fact the post is just as popular as the other ones - the bot does the rest. It leaves a track in your statistics as a "vampirestat" source or something similar, check the sources of traffic in your blog statistics. Just don't click the vampirestat link or anything that seem suspicious. There is a rumor the websites might contain a virus.
Thanks - not that I'm getting thousands of views yet, and I always check the traffic. Most of my views come from Twitter.
