am saying this as someone who is exactly like those lads in behavior and level of autism,with parents who didnt know what to do either.
it sounds like the parents were out of their depth and were neglecting through lack of support,the difficulty of supporting two severely autistic adults,understanding etc,as opposed to hate/resentment/prejudice/ pure evil etc.
that isnt an excuse for what they did and hopefuly they will recieve the right justice, but cant help but wonder if they had recieved the right support and education on their sons autism woud they be living in a good family unit or in government care right now whilst seeing their family in a good light.
they will probably wonder why their parents have done this to them,as that is exactly what self thought when was locked away in bedroom,neglected and beaten by mine.

hopefuly the lads will be settled down in a new place very quickly with decent support staff.
