So, when I was little kid I was diagnosed with PDDNOS--Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specified--which my Dad sums up as "The doctors think you're weird". Well, yeah, I'm weird.

I've studied Asperger's and I'd discovered I had a lot in common, but not everything. The thing is, aspies tend to be quiet and reserved. You could say this for me, because if I'm around people too long I have a desperate urge to go away for awhile. But when I'm around people, I have problems with volume control, I'll occasionally say inappropriate things (I'm always very honest. I suck at lying), and if there's too many people talking, especially if I'm trying to get stuff organized; I can freak out and kinda "meltdown", almost. I sometimes babble and my speech can slur (I was born with abnormally large tongue). I'll jump from topic to topic, or, do the reverse if I'm trying to force my friends to focus (which usually doesn't work out).

I've also experienced troubles focusing and I daydream a ton. I have a very wild imagination, creating impossible situation and wonderful landscapes. While I can't "read" people in real life, I can actually make very realistic characters in my stories. And I'm still learning social stuff, like talking to girls (I've noticed that they really like compliments), table manners, and not scaring people (I sometimes come off as a little creepy).

Wikipedia says almost nothing about PDDNOS, while there's a very detailed study on Asperger's. Is it just really mild Autism? Or is it something else entirely? Discuss your viewpoint, as long as we don't start a flame war :P

Neither are in the DSM V, so I don't think it really matters at this point. I would assume that it's highly likely that PDD-NOS would have quite a few things in common with AS considering it is still considered as being a part of the spectrum.
