I could plan on going, I don't work saturdays.

How many people typically show up? And have you considered having a meetup.com group? There's nothing at all in the utah area for autism support groups.

It would be cool if I could go---but I live about 2,000 miles away from SLC.

Because of a prior commitment which caused my day to run a little longer than expected, I got to the meeting for the last 20 minutes.

But, I met two members who were just about to wrap up the meeting. We made introductions and chatted about our special interests and sensitivities to noise. Everyone was friendly, and I plan to attend the full meeting next month (Oct. 18, 2014 at 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.).

I got invited to go to river rafting that day with friends, went out that direction instead.

Glad to know there's a turnout of sorts, I'll try to show up next month.

Their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Salt-Lak ... 3309281229 doesn't show the usual meeting announcement, but the group leader did say last month that the regular meeting scheduled for October was planned. He didn't say that it would be cancelled.

There is also a "What is an Autist? Communicating Success on the Autism Spectrum" workshop http://www.perfect5thproject.net/ at Research Park near the University of Utah from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. I am registered for the workshop, and plan to attend both meetings. I would say that the support group at 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. will try to meet up. At least, I will be there. :-)
