Hello, everyone. I am a 30 year old, mother of 2. I have a 4 year old son, and my daughter will be two in November. The reason I am here is because when I took my son to his 4-year-old checkup, his pediatrician strongly recommended that I have him evaluated for Autism. He has many little quirks that I have just passed off as him being a quirky little boy. He went to a prescreening, and now will be continuing on to the full evaluation. I want to learn as much as I can to help him out. Some of his quirks include covering his ears often, running in circles while shaking head and flapping arms, spinning, is convinced all doors HAVE to be closed and everything must be perfectly stacked or lined up, and other more difficult to describe behaviors, lol. He has also been in speech therapy since he was two, is still pretty far behind for his age, and has to try really hard to make eye contact. He doesn't get along well with other kids, but is completely obsessed with horses and strings. Sorry if I'm rambling, just looking for answers and whatnot I love my special little quirky boy, and I just want to do anything I can to make sure he can get through life best way possible. My children are my life.
