Hello

I am a female in my late thirties living in the New York area. Although I have not be formally diagnosed with Aspergers, I identify with most or all of the traits associated with Aspergers in women. I have an appointment with my pdoc this week to discuss a diagnosis. I have c-ptsd from severe childhood bullying and depression that I treat with medication.

I am so glad I found this site. Looking back on my life, Aspergers makes sense. I am starting to accept myself now because I know it's not my fault. I was born this way.

I love reading, watching sci fi movies / tv shows, knitting, weight lifting, and listening to music. I love Star Wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who, Firefly to name a few of my fandoms. I listen to mostly 90's ska and punk rock. I read everything and anything.

I thought I just had social anxiety brought on by constant childhood bullying but I found this list of female Aspergers Syndrome traits and was so surprised that I could identify with almost all of it.

Welcome!

May we all get a few rides in the Tardis! :) I'm with you on that one! My only problem is that I grew up with the third Doctor. Like the Doctor's current regeneration, I'm getting old!

In any case, I think life it too short to blame. That doesn't go away on its own. Let's enjoy the ride and the view! :?
