Hello today I was with my grandmother writhing for my impact on a current events article for school it was about an African-American soldier who died who was Discriminated against in the war. I want to write about how I want to be an autism advocate . She said that was a stupid idea . Ignorance gotta live with it

So anyway who is your autism Hero?

Temple Grandin. I absolutely adore her. She's one of my inspirations, and my parents also tell me I'm a lot like her as far as my autism goes too. I'm reading one of her books right now, and it's amazing how she can explain things.

I've read a number of books on Aspergers, but the only one which really resonated with me as a truthful account of the condition (as far as personally concerned) was the one by Temple Grandin.

In no particular order:

Ludwig van Beethoven
Glenn Gould (although I'm not much of a fan of his)
Kurt Weill (I'm not sure if he was on the spectrum, but some of his photos have that familiar autistic look of a deer in the headlights)
Garrison Keillor (before he started acting like Rush Limbaugh)
Keith Olberman (Before he started acting like a jackass)
Sen. Al Gore

Temple Grandin! i just watched the documentary about her again, shes my favourite advocate and inspired me to pursue my dream to create video games. Carly Fleishman is another one.

I like Carly too... but to me, she doesn't realize that autism is a spectrum. I notice a lot on how she refers to autism as a whole and thinks that all autistic people are the same as her. :/ She is still young though, so I shouldn't really be so hard on her... but still.

She also has a movie about her as well. Both my parents saw it and said that I'm a lot like her. XD I don't really see it, but I guess from their perspective of how I act, it's more obvious to them.

Marlon Brando was amazing. I think he was definitely on the spectrum somewhere with his really strong interests in Native Americans and all that had to with them, and after that the Polynesian islands. He was also incredibly smart being an inventor with several patents, an actor, director, writer and social activist who gave away an Oscar just to prove a point.

He was also notoriously bad at sustaining a relationship and had quite a bizarre sense of humor. He loved animals and nature. I am very uncomfortable with diagnosing people, especially diseased people, however.
