That's awesome. I wish the police around here would do something like that, but I seriously doubt they'd care enough. Fortunately, they also don't care about messy public meltdowns. *cough*

That's awesome! Honestly if I went to a program like that, I'd be hoping to meet some hot male cops.

i wouldn't mind going to a program like that too. i do hope things like these become more widespread.

i do remember having a meeting with a cop and some counselors a few weeks ago, the cop was very nice yet stern, i liked her but i do not think it would have been the same if i were caught "acting out".

Article isn't loading for me. I think any time the police are educated about autism it's a great thing.

But at the end of the day, if an autistic person reaches into their pocket after being told to put his hands up and the cop fears for his life, I doubt the cop is going to stop and consider "maybe he has autism. Fight-or-flight kicks in at that point.
