Just a speculative question (I'm not suggesting we are evil intrinsically,) but if God sent Lucifer to Earth and he stumbled on Adam and Eve, whose to say he didn't show her more than the apple?

Perhaps this is where the idea of original sin comes from?

That has actually been suggested by some heterodox (gnostic?) theologians, some of which claim that's where Cain comes from (despite the text being explicit that Cain's father was Adam). It's not taken seriously by anyone in the church, though.

I didn't know that. Cool. I will have to study up on the gnostics.

No, it physically and biologically implausible to have ancestors that don't exist.

Maybe that's where Cain and Abel's wives came from.

Ah but can you prove this to be the case? No you cant! Therefore its equally plausible that it is true

Eve messed around with Lucifer and his "snake" while in the next room Adam was with Lilith eating of her "fruit". Then they all got into the same hot tub.

The result of that party is that we are all descended from all four of them today.

But later the scribes cleaned up the story for the kiddies.

I knew it! It makes much more sense that way.

Lucifer wasn't all that bad.

He just f****d with a couple of humans in a fit of jealousy, pointing out how we weren't a perfect creation.

God took that like a typical proud scientist and took it out on Lucifer, instead of fixing the problem itself. Meaning, yeah, we are his image. f****d up. Lucifer and God are both completely flawed equally.

It's good fiction, as it captures pride and jealousy quite well.

The seven angels lusted for Eve and said, "Let's squirt sperm into her," so they chased her, but she turned into the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and so the angels f****d the tree. Meanwhile, Eve laughed at them because they were stupid? (The Hypostasis of the Archons, On the Origin of the World, Nag Hammadi 2:89, 2:116)

"The demiurge dispatched his angels to have sex with human women, so that they could get them pregnant for fun." (The Apocryphon of John, Nag Hammadi 2:29)

"The angels got the hots for human women, so they descended as fleshly beings, and then God brought about the Flood." (A Valentinian Exposition, Nag Hammadi 11:38 )

"The demiurge sweet-talked Eve into having sex, and so he got her pregnant? and then the seven principalities and some other angels got her pregnant with other children." (On the Origin of the World, Nag Hammadi 2:117; The Apocryphon of John, Nag Hammadi 2:24)

"The demiurge conspired with his principalities, and they gang-raped Sophia? but then the demiurge repented for all the things he had done, so he turned his attention to causing a Flood instead, to destroy human progress." (The Apocryphon of John, Nag Hammadi 2:28 )

That's interesting ... this is from the gnostic texts found in Egypt? I googled Nag Hammadi lol

The flood myth keeps coming up like in other historical texts.

But the whole idea of Lucifer being rejected or repelled from heaven and sent here is interesting. I find it odd that God would want to create humans in a suitable environment and then go and send his enemy there to mess it up.

Probably because God knew we'd torment him for eternity by having emo and goth fags worship him with sh***y metal and pathetic poetry.

Can you think of a worst punishment? I'm drawing a blank.

Sounds like a good plot for a Bible based Hentai!

The snake is a phallic symbol, and women are phallic worshippers by nature.

Worship may be over-stating it a bit, but this is a thread about religion, so fair enough.

In the ancient Greek world they used to have statues of penises lining the streets - true story. I will get a cite.

...

Phallic processions, or Penis Parade,[1] called phallika in ancient Greece, were a common feature of Dionysiac celebrations; they were processions that advanced to a cult center, and were characterized by obscenities and verbal abuse.[2] The display of a fetishized phallus was a common feature.[3][4

Looks like a largely male crowd, there. I see a lot more of men worshiping penises than women, frankly - and I don't mean homosexuality.
