Feel free to share!

I am married to an individual who has a schizo personality/mood disorder and GAD, so we relate to being "different".

My husband likely has ADHD. He has never been diagnosed, but we have suspected it for a long, long time. The difficulties are not to the extent that we want to deal with the expense and assorted side effects of medication. Instead, we just make do with our own way of adjusting/accommodating.

My wife is a complete NT. She has some "hyper" characteristics, though--not enough for any kind of diagnosis, though. She's not really "hip" on Asperger's.

My SO is NT, though she does have some issues, as most anyone does. They do not rise to the level of disorder/illness.

She is not exactly mainstream in her interests and lifestyle though, so that helps.

My girlfriend is likely on the spectrum but she also has anxiety & depression. I don't belive I'm compatible with typical NTs because of communication & other Aspie issues.

I think the poll has bad alternatives. It doesn't consider self-diagnosis, and still uses the NT label. That will give worthless results.

How do you suggest the options be labeled?

Possibly:
1. Diagnosed ASD
2. Self-diagnosed ASD
3. Diagnosed with other neurodiverse condition (ADHD, Dyslexia ++)
4. Neurodiverse
5. Neurotypical

My apologies, I have never seen the term "neurodiverse". I'd imagine it is one who has no clinically significant symptoms, yet displays eccentricities ... ?

I do feel as though encompassing self diagnosed and diagnosed AS under simply "AS" is sufficient. One, being that those who are self diagnosed believe to have the same condition as those diagnosed - and two, subdividing persons to that extent would make too lengthy a poll that's intended for fun only.
